BBQ Winter time tips
I know a lot of you BBQ in the winter but these are a few tips for keeping that BBQ working properly:
1/. Try and keep your BBQ dry, buy a cover for it, remember they are NOT waterproof and most have electronic ignitions these days that dont like water! If you do buy a cover take it off every now and then to let the BBQ breathe otherwise it will cause condensation and damage the BBQ with moisture.
2/. Oil the plates and grills with a light coating, especially cast iron ones. Just a light spray with Canola Oil will be enough.
3/. Insects love Barbeques as they can get into all those small spots and these can cause havoc, ants, spiders, etc., Dont spray with insect killer or if you do, spray carefully and dont get it on the plates grills, burners or ignition systems..
4/. Make sure its all working before you put it away, that way you will have the chance to fix something before you bring it out again for the summer….
