Some Outdoor BBQ's have 'Flame Failure'

19th Oct 2020

Having Flame Failure does not mean a BBQ is approved for indoor use!

Please, Please do not fall into the trap that a BBQ that has 'Flame failure' can be used indoors, NO..! This for an outdoor BBQ is just an additional safety device. Barbeque Manufacturers such as Electrolux, Beefeater, Heatlie and now Everdure do make Barbeques that have 'flame failure' BUT, they are an additional safety feature and do not qualify them for indoor use. Yes some may be able to be re:certified for 'indoor use' (This must be done by an approved Type A Gas Appliance Inspector*) BUT again be aware that if they are then they will be considered 'modified' and as such will not then have the BBQ manufacturers warranty and you may find it hard to find someone willing to service and repair it at a later date.....

PS: *Not all Outdoor Barbeques that have Flame failure can be reapproved for indoor use.
