Winter Time for Barbeques
Yes I know that we dont get snow in WA but this is just a timely reminder that winter is coming here in OZ so make sure that if you are not going to use your BBQ over winter rememember to cover it ready for the summer..Here are a few tips:
If you have your BBQ on a bottle or gas bayonet, disconnect it and if you have room put it under cover, preferably in a shed or the garage. You might have paid a lot for it so it needs to be kept well.
1/. Put a cover over it and make sure it is clean before you put it away, otherwise bugs, ants, cockroaches, spiders, rats and the like will have a field day with it.
2/. Make sure the drip tray is clean.
3/. The gas bottle is off and in a safe place.
4/. The hose and reg or NG hose ends are covered up to make sure spiders or ants dont block it over winter.
Remember if you put a cover over it outside in the winter, every now and then take it off as moisture can get between the cover and BBQ and it will rust so check it now and again.
