I/N: 3170456.
When equiring their stock records show stock at certain stores but on enquiring
the stock cannot be found, but we are assured that they will get it in for us, and I
do believe this will happen.
Our real query is the ability to convert to natural gas and to gain a straight forward
and understandable explanation of how to purchase the conversion kit and its
instalation
I look forward to your response,
Kind regards,
David B

I know a mate uses his LP Jumbuck 4 burner with a NG gas conversion regulator and he changed his over nipples too but I don't think its approved, but it seems to be running ok. What sort of problems could this cause if its not approved for conversion and why?

Most LPG gas appliances are only approved for one gas or another as the pressures are different and they are designed for one gas only. If they are approved for Natural gas they go through a more stringent safety process. Consequences are that he would not be insured if something went wrong, he might blow himself up. He may get a fine if his mains gas supplier finds out. Tell him to buy a BBQ that IS approved for natural gas before he hurts himself or his family...Ross Y

I recently bought a "cheapie" Jumbuck 4 burner BBQ at Bunnings on LP (made by Genesis).
The burners simply don't run hot enough. Takes forever to cook and difficult to seal steaks etc.
It seems to be gas flow issue.
The flames look OK (nice blue, not yellow, not floating) but are smallish (most less than an inch). I adjusted the venturis but the original position seemed about right.
I don't think it's the regulator as it makes no difference one burner or four.
Other people on the internet seem to have the same experience with the Jumbucks - simply not enough heat.
Would changing the orifices up a bit potentially help. The Specifications list "injector" size as 0.89mm.
Thanks, Jim

The specs advise that it can be converted to natural gas.
Is this correct?
Thanks Bob.

I bought a Jumbuck GR-107 6 burner BBQ from bunnings today and spent the entire day assembling it. I have bought the conversion kit to Narural gas as I have an existing outlet. But I don't think it's set up to take natural gas??? Do you know if it is?
Thanks
Sharen

IF the BBQ is approved for Natural Gas conversion then you will need a manufacturers conversion kit. Look at the compliants plate on the BBQ and that will tell you.
The adjustment on the valves (if any) is for the low fame or simmer mode. It still needs a jet or valve change (if approved) and a change of regulator. You will also need a licensed gas fitter to do it for you…

Have a look on the compliance plate on the BBQ and let me know who the Manufacturer is and we can go from there. Ross Y
